I Protest!

Just where is winter? Hm?? WHERE? Where is the one snow we get every year? Where are the stranded refugees who inevitably end up at my house?

Okay, fine. No winter. No snow, no delayed school openings, no hot chocolate. But in protest I am going to start posting snowman pictures. Everyday. Until it snows or I run out of them, whichever comes first.

So there.

p.s...yaay, Carolina! Now, Go Steelers!

Speaking as a former stranded refugee, I do believe I'm not as close to Winterville as I used to be. Else I probably would have shown up at some point, snow or no.

I think it was the winter of 1979 when we had a foot or two of snow and I treked all the way from Winterville to the A&P grocery store (where office depot is now) for (yes you guessed) milk and bread. Nothing was running and nothing was open except for the A&P. It was a long walk down Evans street, not a car on the road. Of course they were out of bread so I bought frozen dough and made my own. That was some of the best bread I have ever had. And snow cream is good too, but I'm not holding my breath for any major snowstorms in the immediate future. Looks like 50s, 60s and 70s for the next 10 days. Great cartoons though.
