The Sudol must be doing its job. There have been no sinus headaches in the past 48 hours. (Is this Heaven?) I have also been noticing a light popping in my ears - I guess there is fluid sloshing around in there, huh? (That was my first self-diagnosis, anyway) My balance is slowing returning, though I have had to take the meclizine today. Just not every 6 hours as at the beginning of this little side trip on my journey through life.

Popping in your ears is a good thing. It suggests that there is fluid in your middle ear which can cause dizziness. It can be caused by sinusitis or inflammation of the auditory (or eustachean) tube which is supposed to drainthe fluid from the middle ear. Your symptoms should resolve as the fluid drains. Try chewing gum which can speed the opening of the tube and draining of the fluid.

Ah, therein lies the rub! My ears do NOT drain. They do not pop when I fly, they do not pop when I dive deeply in water (the pressure is unbearable!). 'Swimmer's ear' was a common ailment even in my teen years! Chewing gum, deep swallows, and holding my nose and blowing are of no avail for me. Yes, I had tubes in my ears when I was a baby. Even had the ole tonsils & adenoids (sp?) removed when I was around 2. Doctors didn't mention SEEING fluid, but that doesn't mean anything. However, my ears felt 'wet' this morning when I woke up. Maybe this is another good sign.

I never thought I'd learn so much about the symptoms and cure of this illness just from reading a blog.

I'm not complaining. :) Just commenting...
